Job Summary

The Director of Shop Operations will lead and manage all aspects of shop operations, including project management and business administration. This role is accountable for the financial performance of the restoration and service business, interfacing with internal finance teams to ensure profitability. Additionally, the Director will collaborate with counterparts in the CURATED dealership to ensure vehicles are prepared for sale as per client agreements. This role requires a proven track record in leadership and organizational management, with a strong emphasis on being process-oriented. The ideal candidate will be adept at building and running efficient processes, as well as managing a team of diverse backgrounds and talents.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

• Lead and manage all shop operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
• Oversee the hiring, training, and performance management of shop staff.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Financial Accountability

• Manage the financial aspects of the restoration and service business, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Work closely with the internal finance team to ensure financial goals are met.

Interdepartmental Collaboration

• Collaborate with CURATED Investments dealership to ensure vehicles are prepared for sale and work is performed as agreed in client purchase agreements.
• Ensure all quality control processes are followed before cars leave the shop and dealership.

System & Process Management

• Leverage existing dealer management systems and project management software to track progress and optimize workflows.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all shop activities.

Qualifications

• Credentialed or bachelors degree in Automotive Technology, Business Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of vintage supercars, especially Italian models such as Ferrari and Lamborghini.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and financial performance.
• Proficiency in dealer management systems and project management software.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
