Job Summary
The Lead Technician will serve as the technical authority within CURATED’s Restoration & Service division, overseeing the mechanical restoration, servicing, and preservation of vintage and modern-classic supercars. This individual will bring exceptional hands-on expertise—particularly with Lamborghini—and a comprehensive understanding of European exotic vehicles from brands such as Ferrari, Porsche, and Aston Martin.
The ideal candidate is a detail-obsessed craftsman with deep mechanical knowledge, leadership ability, and an unwavering commitment to authenticity. This role bridges technical execution with mentorship, ensuring that every restoration meets CURATED’s world-class standards for precision and provenance.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Execution
- Lead diagnostic, mechanical, and systems work across a range of vintage supercars, including Lamborghini, Ferrari, and other European marques.
- Perform complex restorations involving engine rebuilds, drivetrain assembly, suspension, electrical systems, and vehicle setup.
- Ensure authenticity in every restoration, referencing period documentation and OEM specifications.
- Oversee final inspection, testing, and tuning prior to client delivery or sale.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
- Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to restoration processes.
- Provide technical guidance on vintage systems, mechanical problem-solving, and craftsmanship standards.
- Foster a culture of precision, respect, and accountability within the shop environment.
Process & Quality Management
- Collaborate with the Director of Shop Operations to plan, schedule, and execute restoration and service projects.
- Maintain clear documentation for every vehicle, including restoration logs, component sourcing, and test results.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of shop SOPs to improve efficiency, safety, and quality control.
- Support cross-departmental communication with the CURATED dealership team to ensure vehicles are prepared for sale or event presentation.
Client & Brand Alignment
- Represent CURATED’s commitment to excellence in all client and partner interactions.
- Participate in select events or activations where technical expertise enhances the client experience.
- Uphold the company’s philosophy of transparency, craftsmanship, and authenticity throughout every project
Qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician, preferably in restoration or high-performance service environments.
- Advanced technical knowledge of vintage and modern-classic European exotics, with strong Lamborghini experience required.
- Proven expertise in engine and drivetrain rebuilding, diagnostics, and precision assembly.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience training or managing technicians.
- Deep understanding of automotive authenticity, restoration ethics, and heritage preservation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; meticulous attention to detail.
- ASE certifications or equivalent European OEM training preferred.
