1969 Lamborghini Espada S1

The 1969 Lamborghini Espada Series 1 was a bold statement from Lamborghini—an uncompromising grand tourer with a front-mounted V12, four seats, and dramatic styling by Marcello Gandini at Bertone. Its low, angular profile and distinctive rear glass panel set it apart from anything else on the road.

This example, finished in Blue Spettrale Metalizzato over Pelle Naturale, captures the essence of the early Espada design. As a Series 1, it features the original aluminum dashboard and narrower grille openings, details that changed in later models. Under the hood, the 3.9-liter V12 produces 325 horsepower, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.

Fully restored to its original specifications, this Espada reflects Lamborghini’s ambition in the late 1960s—a high-performance GT with the power of a supercar and the space of a luxury coupe. Only 186 Series 1 cars were built.
