1993 Lamborghini Diablo SE30 Prototipo P0
The one that started it all.
Before the SE30 became Lamborghini’s 30th Anniversary halo, there was this car — the prototype #P0, the very first Diablo SE30 ever built.
Unveiled in September 1993, this was Lamborghini’s statement piece. The Show Car. The star of Automobili Lamborghini brochures, International Auto Shows and a plethora of magazines, the 1993 Lamborghini Diablo SE30 Prototipo #P0 was famously used by Lamborghini as a development car between 1992 and 1997.
According to factory records, this one-off was born in 1992 as the X-L30 Prototipo. During its development, the Diablo Prototype became the first Lamborghini finished in the iconic Purple “Lambo Thirty” livery and served as a mule for numerous lightweight materials.
Built with carbon fiber components by Horacio Pagani himself — long before Pagani became a brand — this prototype wears one-off details found on no other SE30.
“We are led to believe it is one of the fastest Diablos to leave the factory,” read an unpublished Lamborghini document from 1998, stating the Diablo SE30 Prototipo #P0 had nearly 100hp more than the standard SE30, rated at 620hp, utilizing different camshafts and remapped Motronic ECU.
This piece of Lamborghini History is available now for the first time publicly since 1999.
