Delivered new in April of 1996 through the Hong Kong Ferrari concessionaire, yet would remain in Europe for many years registered on Italian tourist plates, EE 580 BE.
This time capsule example remained with its first and only owner until now, Mr. Philip Ma. During its new ownership Mr. Ma would share the Ferrari F50 at both the 1996 Ferrari Owners Club meeting at Silverstone and the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
According to historian and expert Marcel Massini, the F50 was utilized as the cover and feature car for the September 1996 Auto Italia magazine.
The car remained in the collection of Mr. Ma, who was the heir to the Hong Kong based, Tai Sang Bank. Ma would later invest and race in endurance GT racing throughout Asia.
F50 Chassis #104802 remains one of a handful of F50 examples in existence with “first owner” provenance and sub-2,000 mile.
Never restored, a true time capsule example with regular maintenance through the exceptional Hong Kong Ferrari concessionaire, Blackbird.
