More details
Developed by HWA AG—the same division responsible for Mercedes-Benz’s DTM race cars—the CLK DTM Cabriolet was built with minimal concessions to comfort and maximum focus on performance. Just 80 cabriolets were produced, all hand-assembled.
This example was originally delivered to Germany, finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over Anthracite leather. It remains in exceptional mechanical and cosmetic condition, showing fewer than 3,685 miles at the time of cataloguing. Recent service was completed at the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center. Since being federalized, it has resided in a private supercar collection with limited mileage accrual.
Unlike typical AMG road cars, the CLK DTM was engineered and built by HWA AG—the dedicated racing arm of Mercedes-Benz. The interior was stripped of non-essential luxury features and outfitted with extensive carbon fiber components to reduce weight. The widened track, aggressive aerodynamics, flared fenders, and fixed rear wing reflect its touring car pedigree.
Power comes from AMG’s 5.4L supercharged V8, producing 582 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a 5-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission, the car achieves 0–60 mph in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 200 mph. The chassis features adjustable coil-over suspension, ceramic front rotors, and cross-drilled discs at all four corners for precise control.
The CLK DTM Cabriolet is among the most extreme homologation-style vehicles Mercedes-Benz has ever offered, bridging the gap between track engineering and road usability.
